Join us on Friday, September 8th from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm for our jigging competition and family dance! (Saskatoon Western Development Museum)
The registration desk opens at 4:00 pm and closes at 6:00 pm for new registration and preregistered competitors.
The registration desk is located by the Saskatchewan Hall, at the Saskatoon Western Development Museum.
Join our MCs, Maureen Belanger, Dwayne Favel, and Courtney Dawn Anaquod, as we listen to live entertainment from Just the Boyz, JJ Lavallee, and the Qu'Appelle Valley Dancers.
Then our competition starts at 6:00 pm and a family dance follows the competition!

*Please note: Paid dance groups performing at the Metis Cultural Days may only compete at the Championship Level.
Jigging Rules & Categories & Prize Amounts
The Competition is a
skill-based competition and is open to all skill levels. No purchase is
necessary to enter the Competition or to win a prize. Registration to only one
category.
Jigging (Red River
Jig) Competition, will be judged on the following criteria: Interpretation and
reflection of jigging (Red River Jig) tradition, timing, creativity and
attitude.
A point will be deducted if the entrant in the Jigging Competition is
not wearing shoes. (Clickers are NOT allowed).

There will be a panel of 3 judges, all
judging decisions are final and binding and not subject to review or appeal.
